The quote depends on the vehicle's size and type, the condition of the paint, and how much prep work is needed before the coating goes on — a well-kept sedan and a neglected truck are very different jobs. A wash and wax won't — that's what paint correction is for. Machine polishing removes swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation by leveling the clear coat. If a scratch is deep enough to catch a fingernail, it usually goes past the clear coat and needs a body shop rather than polishing. We'll tell you honestly which category yours falls into.

They're not the same thing, and detailers who blur the line are doing you a disservice. The ceramic sealant included in our HD Ultimate Detail is a sprayable protective layer that adds gloss and water beading for a matter of months. A true ceramic coating — our dedicated service — is a professional-grade Gyeon coating that chemically bonds to your paint and is rated to protect for up to 3 years. If you want long-term protection, the coating is the right tool; if you want your detail to last longer between visits, the sealant does that job well.

For most daily drivers, a full detail once or twice a year with regular maintenance washes in between keeps the vehicle in excellent shape. Tennessee summers, pollen season, and road salt are hard on paint and interiors — which is exactly why our most popular arrangement is the monthly maintenance plan. Set it up once and your vehicle never gets bad enough to need a rescue.
