Who we are
This Privacy Policy is published by Hitchcock Detailing (the registered brand name for our text-message program), a mobile automotive and boat detailing business based in Hendersonville, Tennessee. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us, book a service, or opt in to text messages, and how we use it. What we collect
We collect only what we need to schedule and perform your service and keep you informed about it:
- Name
- Mobile phone number and, if you opt in, your consent to receive text messages
- Service address — the home, office, dock, or other location where the vehicle or boat will be detailed
- Vehicle or boat information — year, make, model, condition, and the services you're interested in
- Job photos — before and after photographs of your vehicle or boat taken during the service
- Email address, if you provide one for receipts or correspondence
Our website does not use account logins and does not store the information you type into the quote form; that form simply opens a text message on your own phone for you to send.
How we use it
- Scheduling — confirming appointments, day-before reminders, and on-the-way arrival notices
- Service texts — updates about your job, including a service-complete notice with a link to your job photos
- Receipts and payments — sending invoices, receipts, and secure payment links
- Review requests — a single follow-up asking about your experience
- Answering your questions — responding to quote requests and messages you send us
Job photos may be used in our online portfolio and social media only without your name or address, and we'll honor any request not to feature your vehicle.
Text messaging and your consent
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your mobile number and your consent to receive text messages are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We use service providers solely to deliver our messages and to process payments on our behalf; those providers are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for help. Full details are in our SMS Terms and Conditions.
Service providers
To run the business we rely on a small number of service providers, for example our booking and invoicing platform, our payment processor, and our messaging carrier. They receive only the information needed to deliver messages or process payments, and only for that purpose.
Your choices and deletion
- Stop texts: reply STOP to any message.
- Request deletion: email brody@hitchcockdetailing.com and we will delete your personal information from our records, except where we're required to keep a transaction record for tax or accounting purposes.
- Correct or review your information: email or text us and we'll update it.
- Photos: ask us not to publish photos of your vehicle and we won't.
Security and retention
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide service, maintain your service history for return visits, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We take reasonable steps to protect it, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
