Detailing where the boat already is
Old Hickory Lake runs right along Hendersonville and Gallatin, which means most of our boat clients are a few minutes away — and none of them have to trailer the boat anywhere. We detail in the lift, at the dock, or on the trailer in your driveway, with our own water, power, and supplies.
We've worked on Malibu wakeboats, ski boats, pontoons, and aluminum bay boats. If yours lives on the lake, at a marina, or in a boat house, we'll come to it.
What a boat detail includes
Every boat is quoted individually, but a full detail typically covers:
- Hull and topsides — wash, decontamination, and a hand-applied protectant on the gelcoat
- Vinyl and upholstery — deep clean, then conditioned so it stays soft and doesn't crack in the sun
- Non-skid and flooring — scrubbed and rinsed, including under hatches and in compartments
- Helm, dash, and glass — cleaned and protected
- Metal and trim — towers, rails, and cleats polished
Have a specific concern — chalky gelcoat, water-line staining, mildewed vinyl? Tell us when you text and we'll quote it specifically. We'd rather tell you honestly what's achievable than promise a restoration that isn't.
Why lake boats need it
A boat on Old Hickory Lake takes more punishment than any car: UV all day, water-line scum, hard-water spotting, bird droppings on the cover, and vinyl that bakes at the dock. Gelcoat oxidizes and goes chalky; vinyl dries and splits; metal pits. A detail at the start of the season and a maintenance visit or two through the summer is what keeps a boat looking like it did at the dealer — and what protects its resale value.
In-season maintenance
Our favorite boat work is recurring. A maintenance plan during the boating season — monthly, or around your busiest weekends — means the boat is always ready to go and never gets to the point of needing a full restoration. Quoted per boat.
